Beehive plans for Ulverston approved

Plans for the Beehive Business Park in Ulverston which will bring Aldi and M&S Food to the town have been unanimously approved by South Lakeland District Council's planning committee.

The project has aroused fierce controversy in the town and also generated massive popular support, with Trafalgar Public Relations managing and delivering a communications and engagement campaign which generated thousands of social media posts and a massive 470 letters of support.  There were just 30 letters objecting to the plans.
The Beehive is located off the A590 on the edge of the town centre, and will include employment units which will secure up to 300 jobs for Ulverston.
Brian Scott, a director of the developer Rawdon Property Group said the work of Trafalgar Public Relations had been a major factor in securing the planning approval and mobilising local support for the development.
